ABSTRACT
This paper presents a group experience with adolescents carried out with the aim of improving their level of personal and social adjustment during this stage of development. A cognitive-behavioral guidance group was conducted with eight adolescents, aged between 15 and 18, who presented adaptation difficulties. The program consisted of eight sessions, held biweekly, each lasting an hour and a half. By addressing distorted patterns of thinking and enhancing social skills, the intervention sought to improve the adolescents’ mood. A pre- and post-group evaluation was conducted using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS), the Opinions Record by Davis and McKay, the Adaptation Scale by Echeburúa and Corral, and the Structured Learning Skills Questionnaire by Goldstein (adapted). Finally, a critical analysis of the results is presented, highlighting the technical and methodological aspects considered most effective in group therapy with adolescents. - Downloads
