RESUMEN
El artículo realiza un análisis histórico y conceptual de las prácticas adoptivas en Occidente, al tiempo que reconoce las particularidades de otros entornos culturales. Desde los primeros mitos mesopotámicos hasta la legislación y situación actual, el artículo recorre las diversas etapas en el desarrollo y evolución de las prácticas adoptivas ofreciendo los elementos necesarios para su mejor comprensión actual.
ABSTRACT
This paper develops an historical and conceptual analysis of the occidental adoptive practices, at the same time that looks into the particularities of another cultural environments. From first mesopothamic myhts to contemporary legislation and situation, this paper cross several stages of the development and evolution of adoptive practices, offering the necessary elements for a better comprehension of it in our days.
