ABSTRACT
In this paper we focus in the WAIS-III. Basically, its format hasn’t changed, if you compare this with it ancestor, you can observe several differences about the procedure of applications some subtests. In this context we are going to analyse the inter-correlation between some subtests, the relation any subtests with fluid and crystallised intelligence, some shorts forms of WAIS-III and the factor structure of this instrument. In this research have participated 115 university students. The outcomes show theoretical and empirical evidences which allow to follow research about criterion validity of this instrument, which isn’t a neuropsychological assessment instrument, but it is used in the neuropsychology assessment. Key Words: WAIS-III, factors of WAIS-III, short forms, fluid intelligence, crystallised intelligence and criterion validity.
